I got my news fix tonight!
I haven't been keeping up on the news much the last few weeks. I didn't have the mental energy, really, and I just didn't FEEL like it.
I've still watched some yappies on youtube, and watched tech news but ...
today, I took about an hour to read all the new stories on GovTrack.us (they recently added RSS support at my request! :D), and I checked the new stories on AllSides.
I like the GovTrack news, and the AllSides less-so. I really appreciate AllSides, but the hot news is hot garbage, honestly. Much of it, anyway.
The GovTrack news is pretty much only about congressional acts - yaknow, things that actually have the force of law. I love that stuff. Oh, and legislative backgrounds of individuals who are going to be Trump's appointees.
Much more enjoyable (and informative) than the latest hot goss, at least for me.
I like feeling informed, and being up-to-date. I need to check up on my state's news and my city's news here soon. shrug
P.S. PLEASE email companies and ask them to add RSS support to their websites (Hopefully Trackmania will!). Also ask your local governments to do it. I'm speaking at my public library tomorrow to ask the Board to add RSS feeds to their site, AND to encourage people to stay up-to-date via these feeds!
P.P.S. One "hot garbage" story is two Dems using ActBlue to raise funds for fire stuff. Like, I care kinda, but ... not as much as I care about acts of Congress.
