I smell books
Books smell good, sometimes.
Newer ones smell gluey (I accidentally typed 'taste'). Old decrepit ones taste bookie (I mean smell LOL).
I don't know what bookie means. It's not quite woody, but there's not so much a chemical smell any more. It's just the aged paper & whatever micro life, i guess.
Somebody handed me their books today & I resisted the urge to smell them. I almost asked if it would be okay, but I thought that would be weird.
So I don't know what the books smelled like. I want to know what the books smelled like.
I suppose most people assess books by looking at them? (I do too mainly, the smell is just a bonus)
