Inventorix Demo Feedback/Review
I played the demo of Inventorix, a cute little number go big game. I mainly have played turtle strats. Here's the feedback I sent to the dev.
Demo is fun, try it
I love my little turtle build, but Shellorix is OP. Shellorix is simple, cute, and fun. But I don't see any reason to play any other strats, especially more complicated strats. Esp with the 'more likely to get item of X class' thing getting me more turts.
The alien upgrades are a nice concept, but a lot of them are grossly underwhelming. An extra 1-3 money per round just isn't meaningful, even on the second pay of 80.
It might be nice to have something to spend my extra money on, like use it to unlock more cells or buy more items or something.
Overall, cute game, I like. Just seems a bit too easy when I can crank out shellorix every time. I assume runs will be longer when the full game releases, but 5 payments is pretty limiting. That's fine for a demo though. With the only 5 payments, upgrading my turts isn't particularly fruitful, unless I get a multiplier to target a turt. Upgrading non-turts may be more rewarding.
The difficulty increases also seem a bit slow-paced. The 10 money blocker is easy to handle. Maybe its a diff story with non-turt builds.
I do worry a little bit that there are too many items so it will be hard to zone in on a particular strat I wanna do, but that's hard to tell with the ... 4 or so runs I've done.
Demo game wouldn't launch on Linux Mint, so I'm playing on my Windows side but I'd rather play on Linux.
