syrian war
A short explainer video by the bbc, from 6 years ago:

Tldr; rebels started fighting against an authoritarian and violent leader who had cracked down on peaceful protests. Russia is friends with the leader. U.S. is friends with some rebels. Turkey is friends with different rebels and doesn't like the friends of the U.S.

Idea: Local events website
Upcoming - social calendar website
what if i made something like this for my community? Just a way for locals to share local events.
Providing free personal events would be cool, to like coordinate a family reunion or something, or provide an easy way to share a birthday party details with your friends.
Maybe paid features for businesses? Idunno. It just needs to be self sustaining somehow.
