Map Reviewers make me mad sometimes

I've submitted three maps to Trackmania Map Review recently, and they're good maps. They have nice scenery, interesting and well-considered routes. I spent over 100 hours on Pipe Safety in the last year, 8 or so hours on Baby Bears Have Little Claws, and only a couple hours on Bears Turn Around.

They're all good maps for different reasons. I understand that they are not everyone's taste, but these maps do not deserve ONE STAR (out of five).

There are maps with no scenery, maps with checkpoints that are not respawnable, maps that are barely playable, maps with randomly placed blocks. Those might deserve one star, but mine don't. I get losing a star or two because of taste. Pipe Safety in particular is VERY difficult, so okay drop a star for that.

I've built a lot of rough prototype/concept maps with no scenery that probably deserve one star. These maps are not that.

But idk. Its just so frustrating to build an objectively good map and have people one-star it, especially when spending hours building it. I can recognize when a map is genuinely good, even if i don't like it. I give 4* to good maps that I don't like ALL THE TIME. Because I recognize a quality map even if its not my taste.

And yes, other reviewers have complained about this too. I'm not the only one frustrated by this.

I just needed to vent, ig. It's what it's.

P.S. Bears Turn Around, my lowest-effort map, is my best-rated. Why? Probably because it's the most "normal". How boring. (its actually not boring, but idk i like weird strange unique maps)

P.P.S. OTOH i love map reviewers
