Video: Why can't we sue for speech that harms the public?
I recorded video commentary about Dominion being able to sue for economic damages caused by misinformation, but the American Public being unable to sue for damages done to us, to democracy.
Video Description:
I'm not intending to advocate against free speech. My point here is that we have legal protections for companies that are harmed financially, but those protections don't extend to the American public at large.
Intent is to make you think about where the legal system's priorities are and to get you to be critical of the way things work.
