I know about Aaron Bushnell because of this blogger.
Aaron Bushnell set himself on fire in protest of the genocide in Palestine.
Folks here in the Imperial Core are so scared of dying for what they believe in, so scared of ultimate protest that it is nigh impossible to imagine a healthy person doing it, whatever healthy may mean. Instead, we learn to belittle others and ourselves for revolutionary acts, rather than engaging with their gravity.
This whole post, and Aaron Bushnell's story hit me hard.
I've read a few of their other posts, and it all seems to be a similar vein - anti-imperialist and meaningful, powerful, relevant.
I should read them more. You should know about Aaron Bushnell.
