But at some point you have to just see things as they are. America isn't coming back from this. Sure, maybe someone sane ends up in the White House in 2028, but there's just no way to come back from what we've seen, what we've been seeing.
For all the hell we are seeing now, let us not forget America's past. The 150 years when women couldn't vote or own property. The black people who were enslaved. Those who fought for and earned freedom. We did a civil war because half the country wanted to keep having slaves.
We grew from there. We made progress. I know this administration looks like the worst of the worst. But even Nazi Germany came back from the Holocaust.
We should be outraged, and we should fight (peacefully) for our country. But we should also have perspective, and keep hope alive.
