silly things i love

a long while ago somebody did "silly things I hate" and i posted one and anyway i thought this sounded nice. Numbered to keep count, ordered by when i thought of each one. I started this post in May 2026 & am publishing Oct 19th.

  1. "Think of your arms like noodle arms" - (yoga with) Adrienne says this in a video and it makes me so happy every time lol. "Think of your arms like noodles" is my expectation
  2. When i'm mowing my back yard & i stop to pickup a big stick and i CHUCK it to my back porch. The farther the throw the better it feels and its so satisfying when it lands perfectly in the stick pile. One of them today I threw high to go between a low cable line and a higher power line. Another, I spun heartily and bounced it off the ground and into the pile. (today was may 7th at time of writing)
  3. When you pump gas and stop it on a round number, like $10.00 even
  4. Putting "probably" after a verb. Ex: "I also would probably not have said buckle down" instead of "I also probably would not have." Ex2: "I've been burnt out so it'll be probably a week or two before I even wanna think about it." I love it. Its very satisfying for no good reason.
  5. Saying words funny. "Wow" becomes "Weeeoooww". (the eo is one sound NOT eeee followed by oooo) Or "Trackmania" becomes "Track-mAAaaaaania". Or "baby cow" becomes "bebby coowwww". Or "neat" becomes "neat neat nifty nifty neat" - that ones diff but same kinda concept.
  6. When you're pulling a weed with deep roots and the entire thing slides smoothly from the soil.
  7. Giving my cats a bunch of nicknames.
    • Tiberius (tie-beer-eee-us) becomes Ti-BEAR-nickus. I also call her Miss Kitty Mam, among others. Also Ti-bear-ni-kitty
    • Elgie (El-jee) - Saying a hard gee like in Goat. Or Elgorino. Eva Elgonvorio (or whatever). He sneezes a lot. So he's Sneezy Boy. Mr. McSneeze-Ums. Mr. Sweetums.
  8. Putting things on top of my cats when they're sleeping/cuddling. TV remotes, mostly. But it can be anything.
  9. Pronouncing silent letters. Puh-terodactyl. Kuh-nowledge. Bigg Swigg/Big-ig Swig-ig (fountain drink at Circle K station in the U.S.). Salmon, i guess. Adjacent, saying words wrong: Garbanzo beans normally "gar-bon-zoh" and i like "gar-baaaaan-zoh"
  10. I met my best friend's baby yesterday. I fed her. I held her. Watched her. It was my favorite. When she smiled, it filled me with joy. When she furrowed her brow, it filled me with joy. When I held her on my shoulder and she laid her head down. omg. Such beautiful little eyes too.
