Asking AllSides to improve their Feed Reader support

I sent the following message to AllSides today. Hopefully this will inspire you to ask somebody to improve their feed reader support! Perhaps your local library or city council?

Hello,

I appreciate that you have Feed Reader support for your news, your blog, and for each of your topics, but I see some ways this support could be improved.

Here are my suggestions:

  1. Provide an RSS feed for the Recent Headline Roundup (https://www.allsides.com/recent-headline-roundups)
  2. On your home page, provide markup for the following feeds: Recent Headline Roundup, News, Blog, and any other top feeds you recommend (such as the 6 Hot Topics) ... this way feed reader apps can detect all your best feeds from your home page url.
  3. Always provide a link tag with rel=alternate markup for your feeds. Your home page only has an anchor tag, and it seems that FeedBro cannot detect that, though Feeder does.
  4. Alongside social links on your site, you have a link for RSS, which is great. Rather than linking directly to an RSS feed, link to a page that tells people about feed readers and gives an introduction to what feeds you have available. Here is an example on my blog to show what I mean: https://reedybear.bearblog.dev/sub/

Thank you for considering any improvements to your RSS support, and thank you for the support you already provide.

Regards,
Reed
