Small Bills

I regularly think of small, specific laws that I want to see passed, either when I see news of something bad/dumb or when I encounter something bad or dumb in real life. (some ideas may actually be big bills)

This page will catalogue those ideas. I might send some ideas to my legislators, and I encourage you to do the same. Some are good fits for state government and some might even work at the city level. (some are old posts that were not originally intended to be displayed in this format)

  Modern headlights are extremely bright and can be blinding when driving at night. They should be banned in new car sales in my state.

• 20 Nov, 2025 My State should support socialized businesses

  Create a formal legal framework for 'Worker Owned' corporations, just like there is for LLCs and Non-Profits

  Energy pricing brackets should be created so regular people don't subsidize data centers and industry

  Anti-bribery ordinances should be passed at city and state levels due to a Supreme Court decision

• 11 Aug, 2024 Advocacy: "High Sodium Content" labeling

  Some food products should be labeled with "high sodium content" instead of "See nutrition information for sodium content"
