fear-mongering headlines (food)
Today I saw the headline: "The foods that should never be reheated in the microwave, according to experts"
I read the article.
They say quality will be poor if you microwave-to-reheat certain foods like hard-boiled eggs, fish, and chicken.
SO FUCKING WHAT. I ALREADY KNOW. I don't nuke leftovers for quality, bro; I do it for convenience.
When food is bad to microwave, you basically learn that by doing it.
And apparently some nutrients break down when reheating/cooking. And apparently leftover rice should be refrigerated within an hour and eaten within 24 hours, and cooked food should only ever be re-heated once. And you gotta be careful when microwaving food for babies.
Some of those are actually helpful things to know, but I'd rather nuke my broccoli and eat it in a degraded state than throw it away. I hate headlines like these ones.
(oh, ig the hard boiled eggs might go boom. Okay. Yeah. its fine)
