More Perfect Union recently shared a video asking people if they blamed "rich people" or "poor people" for "America's problems", only letting them choose one. Most people chose "rich", and conversations with people showed a lot of nuance in people's views.
The interviewer said that he saw Trump as a billionaire crook, and a man who's gonna vote for Trump said "me too", but then talked about Trump being his lesser of the two evils because he's a political outsider, and you need a crime boss to fix the corrupt bullshit, and life was good under Trump.
Like I don't agree with his assessment that Trump is the lesser evil, but I do agree that that's the choice, and Democrats aren't as good as they may often seem. And there's a lot on which we agree, but we're all getting fucked by this corporate + government partnership.
But anyway the point was that most people found common ground on several issues. And it gave me the idea of a sign asking "Who do you care more about?" and answers being "neighbor" or "my political party".
